The rumor mill is stirring once again! This time, it has caught G-Unit up in it’s swirl as reports are flying that the clique is about to disband.
According to MediaTakeOut.com, the group’s alleged split is due to the “poor” sales performance of their latest CD “Terminate On Sight.” The album, which was released on July 1, debuted on the charts selling about 100,000 units in it’s first week.
“Some people are disappointed, some people are mad [at Interscope], some people are frustrated…,” an alleged insider said to MediaTakeOut. “We’re going to have to evaluate whether it even makes sense to have G-Unit anymore.”
At press time, there had been no official comment from 50 or the rest of the crew confirming or denying the rumor.
“Terminate On Sight” or “T.O.S.” is the second studio album from the group. It features tracks by Swizz Beatz, Ron Browz, and Timbaland.
