As previously reported by Yo!Raps, Russell Simmons has called in quits with model girlfriend Porshla Coleman.

According to Rush & Molly of The New York Daily News, sources claimed the break up was caused by Russ’ controlling ways.

“[Russell] is very controlling,” a source said to Rush & Molly. “He has her running on his schedule. He always wants her there with him. He doesn’t let her see her girlfriends. He can do what he wants. She can’t.”

“Also, she and his children aren’t getting along. And getting along with the children is very important to Russell.”

Coleman has fired back at the allegations recently telling Rush & Molly that the “sources” are wrong.

“I am not prepared to go into detail, but Russell is my best friend,” she reportedly said. “There is no anger on either of our parts. It was a mutual decision. We just decided to be friends, and we’re both very happy.”

She went on to say that Russell even took her furniture shopping for her new apartment.

“It’s around the corner, and he helped me pick it out,” she said.

According to reports, the former couple are also auctioning off a yoga session together for the Art for Life benefit on July 19.
