T.I. has teamed up with rock group Fall Out Boy for a new track titled “Out of the Cold.” According to reports, the track might even be featured on the rapper’s upcoming album “Paper Trail.”
A very personal track for the ATL rapper, “Out of the Cold” is said to speak on his well-publicized arrest. It features dramatic riffs and drum pattern, in an effort to create chills and thrills.
Pete Wentz, Fall Out Boy’s bassist, said the track is “something from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas.’”
“After hearing about the chance to do a collaboration with someone like T.I., we thought, ‘How amazing would it be to send him something with strings and a Danny Elfman-like intro that Patrick came up with?’ Lyrically you can take it as [being about] a friend, a lover or even a fan.”
Although the rough version of the track has been completed, it still has to undergo a final mixing. A rep for T.I. said the track’s inclusion on “Paper Trail” is still “under consideration.”
“Paper Trail” will hit stores September 9.
