Rumors have been going back and forth for years now about a possible Destiny’s Child reunion. In a recent interview, however, original member Kelly Rowland revealed that the R&B trio would be getting back in the studio to record some new material.

“Me and the girls never split up - we are as close as we always were, like sisters, and we may do some projects next year,” Kelly said. 

Destiny’s Child, consisting of members Kelly, Michelle, and R&B powerhouse Beyonce, officially called it quits back in 2005 after sending a letter to MTV saying, “After a lot of discussion and some deep soul searching, we realized that our current tour has given us the opportunity to leave Destiny's Child on a high note, united in our friendship and filled with an overwhelming gratitude for our music, our fans, and each other. After all these wonderful years working together, we realized that now is the time to pursue our personal goals and solo efforts in earnest.”

Their last album, “Destiny Fulfilled,” featured the hits “Cater 2 U” and “Soldier.”

At press time, no official release date or album title had been released.
