Nas Dethrones Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne’s “Tha Carter III” had an impressive opening, holding the #1 spot on Billboard’s “Top Rap Albums Chart” for weeks. But Nas has bought the Lil one’s reign to an end. Now the Queensbridge MC’s ninth solo album, “Untitled,” has pushed itself into the coveted position this week.

Featuring collaborations with Chris Brown, The Game, and Busta Rhymes, the much anticipated CD scanned 187,000 discs in it’s opening week.

Although no longer in the #1 spot, “Tha Carter III” sold 105,000, leaving it clinging to the #2 spot.

David Banner’s “The Greatest Story Ever Told” came in at #3. Meanwhile, G-Unit’s “Terminate On Site” hit #4 with 21,200 discs scanned.

Rounding out the top 5 is Plies’ “Definition Of Real” with 20,500.
